Fabe and I met through online dating 6 months ago and we immediately had a lot in common. As our relationship and friendship have grown we keep coming back to the idea that our perspectives are not often represented especially within Black mainstream culture. But we do believe our people are out there and so we set out on this journey to continue to get to know each other and discover and bring together others like us in the process.
So if you are an 80’s or 90’s baby, identify as a nerd, march to a different drummer or are just bored with the common conversations on social media come give us a listen. You will come for the fresh take but we have a feeling you will stay for the nostalgic vibe.
Two self proclaimed nerds, living on the fringe of Black mainstream culture, coming together to give our take on popular topics and events.
We will be discussing life, love and pop culture.

Hello my fellow Petty Xennials. My name is Aida and I’m a 40 year old extroverted introvert. An only child, I was born and raised in Shaker Heights, a suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. Im a product of a two parent household and my parents were actively involved in my education and life (they had a real Claire and Heathcliff vibe lol). I have an undergraduate degree in Biology from Denison University and a Masters from UMDNJ and Case Western Reserve (I like to collect degrees and school debt). I lived in Houston, Texas for 10 years and currently reside in the Tampa Bay Area where I am in the healthcare field.
Growing up I felt like I never fit into any group completely. I was too "white' for the black kids and too "black" for the white kids. I was too nerdy for the cool kids and I was too cool for the nerds. Through many personal and professional struggles I have landed in a place in my life where Im comfortable in my own skin and trust myself and my path wholeheartedly.
I was mostly single for about 10 years before meeting Fabe and had begun to accept my “single forever" cat lady fate. This podcast is my chance pubicly embrace and share the concepts and lessons thats have brought me to this positive place in my life. I’m so excited to go on this podcast journey with Fabe and find more of our people. So let’s discuss, debate, commiserate and most importantly laugh.

I'm a 36-year-old black guy, born and raised in sunny Florida. I have recently experienced the profound loss of my mother, who raised me on her own, as well as went through a divorce after 16 years of marriage, which has profoundly influenced my perspective on life. I didn't finish college and found myself being miserable as I was building others' dreams while burying my own. This led me to quit my job earlier this year so my partner and I could run our business full time and realize our dream of being boss free.
I'm currently exploring life, navigating new relationships, and striving to create more opportunities to pursue the things I'm passionate about.
This podcast isn't just a platform for me; it's a space where I celebrate your unique point of view. If you've ever felt like you don't quite fit into the traditional mold, if you're a proud nerd, an introvert, or harboring a secret stash of pettiness, this podcast is your haven. It's a place to connect, share stories, and uplift one another.
Together, through this podcast, we'll challenge the
mainstream narrative and explore the world from a refreshingly different perspective. So, get ready to be heard, understood, and validated because I'm here to relate, connect, and uplift your one-of-a-kind journey.
We all need “our people” come see if you've found yours!
